Relax and Rejuvenate
Part of living a healthy lifestyle is taking care of your body. Through life’s stress or athletic endeavors, we create tension in our muscles and connective tissues. We must remove any knots and tension to be at our best.
How it Works
Research continues to prove the great benefits of massage therapy. It has shown to reduce lower back pain and symptoms of planter’s fasciitis, tendinitis, and iliotibial (IT) band tightness and inflammation. It can improve posture and range of motion. Even a single massage session can do wonders to reduce stress by lowering blood pressure, cortisol, and insulin levels. Even though it might feel like pampering doesn’t mean it’s any less therapeutic.
At Hit the Floor we are committed to safety. All our therapists are licensed and have completed our comprehensive training process.
Types of Massage We Offer
Each massage is customized to your needs. Whether you are looking to improve mobility, reduce pain, or just relax; we will use a variety of massage methods and stretching techniques to get the results you are looking for.
Providing full-body muscle relaxation, the Swedish Massage will help maintain your performance and help if you are recovering from an injury. It begins broad and transitions to specific parts to address any problematic areas.
Designed to prevent and treat injuries, the purpose is to enhance your performance. The theory behind a Sports Massage is to focus on specific muscle groups to promote blood flow, increase range of motion and increase flexibility. Even if you are not an athlete, this massage can help muscle pain and regain range of motion.
Additional pressure targets muscle adhesions, also known as knots. A Deep Tissue Massage uses deliberate, methodical strokes across the grain of the muscle to address chronic tight or painful areas, repetitive strain, postural issues, or injuries. It has been shown to effectively treat symptoms of respective stresses like tennis elbow and carpal tunnel as well as reduce symptoms of osteoarthritis.
Using the techniques of a Swedish Massage, the Chair Massage focuses on the upper body, head, neck, shoulders, and arms. It is done over clothes in a special chair and doesn’t require any massage oil. It is designed specifically to relax muscles while improving circulation and movement.
“Yesterday morning I pulled my right calf muscle stepping off the porch. A Hit the Floor professional suggested and I accepted to let them roll out the muscle. This morning there is no pain. A quick focused action was the answer. Another example of great customer service. Thank you.”
